The next two trips to Sugar Creek resulted in smooth sailing. No mishaps, nor any scares. A small sailboat like the Pirateer 13 can heel quite a bit, and sometimes that’s not fun. However, by using ones body weight to counter that it is manageable.

I would say that the only thing we need to work on is unloading and loading the sailboat on the trailer, it takes a bit of time and we tend to get a bit wet in the process.

We’ve now got the jib repaired and will take it out with us on the next weekend for testing.
